“ Smalltown feel, Waco original shop. Their sammiches are the best. Garlic buttered and toasted buns make the sandwich perfect. Soups and sides are pretty good too. Do yourself a favor and come check them out. ”

The staff are always so friendly, regardless of how busy the place is and it is almost always busy for good reason. The bread... ooooohhhh... the bread... mmmmmmm... if youre a regular you know what I mean and your mouth is already watering... if you havent been and enjoyed a delicious Original sandwhich... well... go now so you can relate and have that experience and become a regular and you can thank me. ”
“ Schmaltzs is far and away the best sandwich shop in town. Their homemade bread is fantastic, and really its what takes their sandwiches over the top. Its been years since I had eaten here last, but the quality has not wavered a bit. Since the last time I visited, they have introduced a jalapeno cheddar bread. They were out at the time, but I will be coming back more often to try and get some! I also recommend trying their wheat bread, I think its even better than the white bread as if that was even possible! Their portions are huge, and their large sandwich always satisfies. Cant go wrong with any sandwich on the menu either! The only knock I have on my latest visit was that I asked for no tomatoes and I received tomatoes. Not a big deal, and definitely not enough to keep me from giving 5 stars. ”

The meat on its own is average at best but Schmaltz does wonders by turning the blah meat into a 5star sandwich. Seasoned and topped to be delicious. I recommend the blue plate special with potato salad. Some of the best. ”

I was lucky enough to get the jalapeno cheese bread, it could have been baked longer as it was missing a nice crunch that Im used to receiving from a similar chain. Texan approved sweet tea and for dessert I highly recommend the chocolate chip pecan cookie! The customer service I received was great and the cashier was very polite. ”
